My name is Charles Pedraza and I am a sophomore in Harold L. Richards. I am 15 years old and I’m from Oak Lawn, Illinois. I'm not really involved in any sports or clubs or activities yet but soon, hopefully I would be able to represent my school in a cool and honoring way. My favorite subject is Social Studies (History or Geography), but any subject is my favorite as long as I'm not bad in it. My favorite TV shows are "The Twilight Zone" and an anime called "Tokyo Ghoul" which is a pretty action filled and dramatic show. My favorite movie is a Tim Burton film called "Nightmare Before Christmas". Its a really cool movie, if you haven't watched, I highly recommend it especially in Halloween. My known interests are videogames, one in particular called Destiny, and I like playing with cards. You might question what "playing with cards" mean or you just might think it’s weird but essentially, it’s all about playing card games and doing card tricks, not magic tricks. It’s a basic term called cardistry which is basically a form of art in playing cards and the movement of cards in an artistic fun, and creative way, sort of like breakdancing or doing skateboard tricks. The correct term for this is called being a Cardist but not many people know about that term so I just call it card tricks. It’s basically a really complicated but fun hobby and because of this hobby and I developed a new hobby which is collecting specific decks of cards I which I have about 102 decks of playing cards and only one of them I like the most. My most important prized possession is my music because I love listening to it every day. I also love guitar and piano, but I soon yet to learn how to play both instruments. My favorite food is French toast or cheeseburgers with fries. Another thing I love other than music is the holidays, or all the holidays but especially Christmas or Valentine’s day because of how it takes place in my favorite season, winter. If I were to pick a planet with only one season, it would definitely be winter. The reason why I like winter so much is mostly due to fact that the weather can be pretty cold and extreme at some times, but to me, it gets pretty crispy and brisk which gives off that cool feeling around me. I also like winter because even though the weather can be frightful, it can be the most wonderful time of the year because of Christmas and Valentine’s day and some other holidays that allows people to celebrate in a joyful manner. Most people I know usually like these holidays because of its gains like presents, free candy, and other stuff, but I’m more into the spirit of the holiday and what awesome memories I can gain from it because most of my best moments come from those days.
